This lesson was originally made for Level 3 Year 1 unit ‘Live Music Performance’, however this is applicable for any students considering a live music performance career. Within this lesson, we discuss the different aspects of ‘mixing’ a band live, including EQ and frequencies as well as the importance of levels between the instruments and more. The final task for learners involves them making a ‘mix list’ that they could send to a sound engineer prior to their performance so that they know what mixing preferences you may have in different songs of your repertoire.
